"Spirits Of Montgomery Cabin" by Arla M. Ruggles | Redbubble:
Photo is of an old, long-abandoned mine shack, in a remote canyon in the Cherry Creek Mountains. As my family has property interests there, I have visited the site fairly often, and always find it a challenging shoot, since it is tucked back among old pine trees, on a very steep slope.
This day, I was surprised to discover about a half dozen images with these ORBS.
Now, I am not one to rush into exclamations about how authentic this phenomena is. I realize the light spots can result from dust on lenses, and a myriad of other conditions.
Still, I found it curious that the orbs appeared ONLY in this setting; not in any other photographs I took on this day. Also, they were in shots taken from different angles, different directions.
After I posted them on Facebook, the buzz was so great, I decided to go back and see if the phenomenon would reoccur on another day, in different light.
Sure enough! My second set revealed similar – not identical – light patterns — and only in this location.
I did some inquiring, and was told that a miner had been killed at the nearby mine entrance, when a large rock dislodged and rolled down striking him at the base of his skull, killing him instantly. My source thought this accident had occurred sometime in the 1920’s.
I still would not have posted this image on RedBubble, EXCEPT that, I later learned that the friend who was photographing with me the second time, ALSO captured orbs in photos she took of me there — and she was shooting from a completely different position, with a different camera!
